A person’s values sculpts the relationship he forms. It sets the limits to the amount of trust they have in people and ideas. As I was writing about Open to Experience a few posts back. There are certainly people, who would choose security over uncertainty. They are the conventional species. They will only do what is tried and tested and never be the one who tread new grounds.

Some are afraid to lose. Some cannot sacrifice. Some will only do things for you when they can get something out of it.

“Only fools will rush into where angels fear to tread.” I certainly don’t rush in, I think first, but I am probably the few who would enter first. I am an explorer. I seek to understand, and that is very important. That intellectual curiosity, that drive to question and philosophize. I don’t fear to admit, I take pride in this.

I think that is what lead me to this. A theory, you can call it. People’s perception can be scaled on many dimensions. That is what separates the sheeple from the enlightened. If your thinking is one dimension higher than a another, you can understand why the lower thinks the way he do. Each time you move up a level, it lets you see people in a whole new dimension. Sometimes there are no clear distinction when you have reached a high level of understanding. By this, I mean you can understand the way of thought of people who can also understand your way of thought.

Moving up the scale peels away the hatred. Lesser and lesser in things you take offense in things that mortals would. This is because you understand exactly why people get offended and why they get into conflicts. The ease and multitude of things people take offense in just seems ridiculous in a sense, but you know that it is because they don’t seek to understand.

We can get into debate. We can disagree with each other in points. Some draw guns over it; We sip wine pitting wits.

To us, there is nothing more appalling than the anti-intellectuals. Those blind minions of hate!
